Who you gonna call? (Probably not Ghostbusters!)

We’ve written a few blogs over the last month about getting your office ready for the holidays,  and the types of hygiene challenges that office environments might face over an extended break, so you’d be forgiven for thinking that the holidays were top of mind for us.  They are because everyone deserves a break at the end of a long year, but we also take our responsibilities to our customers very seriously at this time of year.  Good hygiene should always be a priority, no matter what time of year it is, and shouldn’t stop just because of the holidays.

Unlike some businesses who may shut down completely over the holidays, Initial will be available and contactable all through the December- January holidays. Your office may be closing, but our Customer Support Centre (0800 77 77 88) will be open throughout the holiday season, and at nearly full capacity, which means that we are still able to take your calls and deal with them within very similar timeframes to the rest of the year.

The Holiday Period

We know that many businesses will close on Friday the 14th December, and may only reopen on Monday the 7th January, however, our Customer Support Centre will only be closed on the following dates:

  • Monday the 17th December

  • the afternoon of Monday the 24th December (13:00 onwards)

  • Tuesday the 25th December,

  • the afternoon of Monday the 31st December (13:00 onwards)Tuesday the 1st January


Initial Branch Availability:

If you are an existing customer who usually calls your local branch directly, we’re suggesting that between Monday the 18th December and Monday the 7th January 2019 you contact our Customer Support Centre directly on 0800 77 77 88.

This is because our Initial branches will be operating on a reduced staff complement between Friday the 14th December, and Monday the 7th January. However, each branch will provide our Customer Support Centre with a list of colleagues that are working over the holidays so that your call can be transferred directly by our Contact centre to the correct branch colleague.
